"Memento Mori" is a Latin phrase that when translated means "remember you are mortal." In the 15th Century, the term became synonymous with the term "carpe diem" or "seize the day." The skull icon became a visual reminder that we are mortal, that life on earth is fleeting, and that we should enjoy every day to its fullest potential.

Interchangeable Needles and Hooks

In needle news -- The Addi Click Interchangeable Needle Set is new and improved! Addi Click includes 10 sizes of Addi Turbo™ tips, US 4 (3.5mm), 5 (3.75mm), 6 (4mm), 7 (4.5mm), 8 (5mm), 9 (5.5mm), 10 (6mm), 11 (8mm), 13 (9mm) and 15 (10mm), three different lengths of pliable blue cord, 24" (60cm), 32" (80cm) and 40" (100cm), one connector piece to store stitches or combine cords, and a needle gauge check, all packed in a portable faux leather case. Mariel's Mobius

Actually, Darla's moebius in Mariel's Crystals! This incredible piece is created with two skeins of Tilli Tomas Mariel's Crystals. Darla shares it with us and says, "It's definitely not a project for the faint of heart. It's probably the most expensive moebius in history!" Mariel's Crystals is Tilli Tomas pure silk embellished with hundreds of genuine Swarovski Crystals. Most often used to trim a garment (cuffs/collars), a Mariel's Crystals moebius as this is luxury at its best. The sparkle and glitter of the garment is to die for. The design is from the book, A Treasury of Magical Knitting by Cat Bordhi. All of us here at Dream Weaver think this elegant piece is amazing. What beautiful work!

Baaabs is here!

Baaabs has arrived. These little sheep had quite a day! They all patiently waited while the shipping girls gathered orders. Baaabs is Lantern Moon's new scissor minder. The flock was very anxious to get to their respective homes, and they are on their way! Look for yours in the mail this week.

Crafting Organic

Just in this week, our first shipment of a very soft organic cotton from Ecobutterfly Organics. This new yarn is certified organic and fair trade. No chemicals or pesticides are used to grow the cotton, and there are no chemical processes used from the raw picked cotton to the finished yarn product. Ecobutterfly yarn is made in Peru by men and women who are guaranteed a comfortable living wage and a nice working environment.

Our Ecobutterfly organic cotton yarns includes Pakucho Lace Weight, Sport Weight, Worsted Weight and Flamme Chunky Weight and Farfalla, a hand-brushed worsted weight. All are 100% certified organic, and all dyed colors are vegan.

For those of you lucky enough to obtain an Addi Click Interchangeable Needle Set before production issues limited distribution, we now have in stock extra Tips (including US 5 (3.75mm)) and Cords and Connectors. These are on hand and ready to ship.

Don’t fret if you were not able to get an Addi Click Interchangeable Set when we offered them earlier this year. We will re-intoduce these great needle sets anew when they are in stock, in hand, and ready to ship out the door to you. That we promise.
